I have been incredibly excited to share this editorial concept I’ve been working on with the help of my dream team Shamain K Photography, Film by Bisma Khan, and Christina Williams Singh of Beauty On The Go.
I really tried to step out of my comfort zone with makeup for this concept. I was inspired by Tom Pecheux from the Badgley Mischka Spring 2015 runway show, which explored the popular colored eyebrow trend. What some have referred to as “Marie Antionette on the moon”, pastel brows are a perfect blend of fairy dust and fashion-core. It’s unique. And it challenges convention. I don’t doubt for a second that perhaps this style of makeup is not conventionally attractive, perhaps it doesn’t suit everyone, but I love experimenting. Even if I end up looking like a freak. It’s all subjective in the end, right?
For this look, I styled an oversized mint moto coat from Banana Republic (which I got on sale for like $50), a ruffle tier chiffon white shirt from Banana Republic (which I got for only $8) and Urban Outfitters destroyed skinnies. My silver sparkle lips complimented the insane glitter booties from ASOS. Because synchrony.
