Yes, it is scorching hot and I’m prancing around in black velvet and a black cape. I do it in the name of fashion, okay. I DO IT FOR THE ART.
Who doesn’t miss bellbottoms? So in the spirit of the 60s, I had to bring them back to my wardrobe. Outrageous flares can be tricky, not to mention unflattering for many body types, so start by utilizing a slimming black palette as a safe way to get a bit of everything.
The key is to find your body symmetry. Think about your torso/legs ratio and take advantage of the lengthening properties of dramatic flares. And of course, the higher the heels, the closer to God.
Here I paired a plunge bodysuit from eBay, a cape blazer and velvet bellbottoms from Forever 21. The shades are Prada, the necklace is from H&M, and this exquisite brass Jaipuri clutch is from my lovely ladies at Kaz Kouture.
