There are colors that are the “trend” and colors that one just obsesses over. For quite some time, it’s been pale lilac for me (which is a muted pinkish purple, different from its commonly confused counterpart, lavender, which is more of a pale blueish purple). Light, pastel colors are always a safe bet for day time looks (though I don’t honestly believe in that appropriate daytime/color rule). Still in the summer, there is a scientifically sound argument for opting for lighter, soothing colors.

This outfit, as I like to believe, is a perfect baby shower, bridal shower, Sunday Funday brunch ‘fit. I know I’m probably out of my mind for wearing leather in the heart of the Texas heat, but who cares? I love this bar III lilac leather jacket paired with a light, flow-y Rachel Roy blouse, and a mint BCBG bandage bodycon skirt. The accessories were pretty basic with a snakeskin clutch from H&M, but the white pumps were anything but basic. These Alexander Wang “Danica inspired” pumps I bought for $30 from GoJane.com and I am just drooling. Aren’t you?
